The Ride of the Valkyries, for Example

We realized today Logan is an innate fan of classical music. It started with Vivaldi's Four Seasons ("Spring"), then Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries, then Bach's Cello Suites. It kept him calm and curious for some time, even during a few diaper changes--something he generally cries about.

Of course tomorrow he might like The White Stripes or Sublime. Iron Maiden he'll have to wait a few years for. No head banging or body slamming allowed in the crib.

Oh, he smiled at us this morning, too. "Hi, Logan," I said in a high pitched voice. And then he looked right at me with big smile. First time. He did it with Rach, too. Very sweet.

The Loganman Cometh

Just some more pics. Logan had his first real bath with Mommy yesterday evening. He floated while mommy held him--he seemed relaxed in the warm water. I'm glad about that. I like babies who like water. That way, when he gets older and decides to do a triple lindy into a pool of mud, he'll be happy to bath himself too. Awww.

In other news, he had his second doctor's appointment on Friday. Everything's fine. The PKU test showed all negatives (no amino acid disorders, endocrine disorders, etc.). He's fitter than a rhino. He eats like one, too. Which is good, considering my brother in law wants to transform him into a rugby player. Somehow I don't think that will happen if he gets my body type. I'm so thin that when I turn sideways I disappear. I guess that might make for an interesting scrum.

Hi, I'm cute. How are you?

More Baby Logan

In between sleeplessness, voluminous poops, and excessive cuteness, we were able to format some more pics for everyone. Soon we'll post a brief story of the birth so everyone can get an idea of how Logan came into this crazy world.

Getting scrub-a-dubbed at the hospital for the first time.

This rinse is booooring...zzzzzz.

This is making me cry for the first time ever. I have a feeling it won't be the last.

Daddy's heartbeat puts me night night every time :)
