Luca loves to dress up, don't you pup?

Dec 9, 2008

And around and around...I think even the camera got dizzy on this one.

Dec 6, 2008

We went out on the town for the annual holiday festival. Insanely cold, and the raindeer were unruly and attacking their fence, and Rach was walking around despite her pregnancy-induced hypertension, but the chili and hot coco were yummy. Logan liked the cello and harp players inside the antique stores and art galleries. Plus, he got to see Santa---though he liked the girl in the window way more than Santa. Smart guy, eh?

Dec 5, 2008

He's mastered the art of peeling clementines...

Nov 25, 2008

Here Logan sits in front of his first Chanumas tree. We didn't do much to dress up the tree--we figured Mr. Pull-the-Ornaments-Down would be on the prowl. Sure enough, Logan pulled the whole tree down later that night :) He got used to it, though. Now he hides next to it when he doesn't want me to change his diaper. Smart guy.

22 Nov, 2008 Logan's vocab

So we wrote down all the words (we think) Logan can say. He knows a boatload more, he just can't say them yet. In some cases, we wrote down phrases or short sentences. I'm sure there are a few we're missing.

His rendition really comes from the heart here. Mine is lame. I really need to take those rooster lessons.

Logan is clever in making us think he's not so clever :)

He must be doing this because Obama won.

Nov 2, 2008 Baby Kyle and Uncle Adam

Uncle Adam and Aunt Jody had a new babe: Kyle. Here Adam is with his new son--and Logan making eyes at something. Logan is pretty sweet to Kyle, patting his head and acting concerned when Kyle cries out. I personally was worried he might try to feed Kyle some lamb chops.

Oct 30. 2008 Mischief night

Logan unsuccessfully tries to scare his incubating sister with his skeleton suit. Actually, he seems pretty excited about his sister. The other day Rach went for a check up. When the technician tested the heart rate, Logan, upon hearing the beep-beep-beeps of his sister, blurted out, "Baby!" We'll see what happens...

Oct 27, 2008 Not too sleepy?

Apparently, Logan wasn't up for sleeping too much here... :)

Oct 25, 2008 Kids' table

I just thought this picture was cool. I like how all the kids are doing something different.

Oct 15, 2008 Getting ready for the wedding

Nana and Pop-pop bought Logan a swanky tux for his Aunt Kate's wedding in November. Handsome, eh? The pants were a tad too wide, but the tux came with suspenders, which gramma Isabel was able to resize.

Oct 11, 2008 Pulling his weight

Sure, Logan's cute, but he also pulls his weight around here. Unfortunately, he still has trouble changing his own diaper. We're still working on that.

October 4, 2008

We went to the petting farm again, where there is also a playground. Logan of course was all into the goats and pigs. Here he's playing peek-a-boo with daddy--until the camera memory filled up...

Sorry, don't have much time for commentary this morning...late for work...

Where's your baby?

Logan thinks he has a bun in his oven :)

Here are those vids I promised from the fruit pickin' this past weekend...

Strawberry and peaching picking at the local farm

Aunt Nancy and Cousin Kasey came over this weekend, and we all went to the local "u-pick" farm. We snagged a bunch of late season strawberries as well as a couple bags of peaches. Plus, they had a petting area with animals--goats, rabbits, pigs, etc. Logan got right up to the goats. They happened to like my shoelaces and shorts quite a bit as well. Some pics and vids coming up.

Kasey and Logan get along great. You'll see in one of the vids once I post it.

Daddy, can we take this one home? It'll eat all the grass so you don't have to mow the lawn.

Mama likes them, too, daddy!

Baaaaa! Just like in the video!

Over here, Kasey--this one has a worm.

Aunt Nanny just gave me an eskimo kiss :)

The new babe

Some of you may have heard that rach and I are having another baby--this one is also due in January. January 27th is the exact due date--Mozart's birthday among other things. Here are some ultrasound pictures. Everything seems to be fine. Rach had her testing done for Down Syndrome and the like--no problems. The specialist said he was 80% sure it's a girl.

In other news, I've decided to clone myself. This way one of them can actually get some sleep while the other is busy being daddy--then switch later. Cost you say? Pfff. Can you really put a price on sleep?

I think daddy hates this stuff?

Stuff from July

Here are some pics and vids from July; sorry I've been so far behind on updates.

7/14/08 We took a trip to the local high school pool--they even made me pay $2.00!

7/25/08 Logan the Builder, anyone?

7/29/08 This leftover cardboard from the new appliances we got has been very useful. I like to color on it, too--as well as the couch, the walls, and everything else around here :)

Twinkle toes...

My favorite! The Black Keys!

See what I mean about that cardboard?

Finally, I like to build stuff and not just wreck it. Interesting concept, creating.

I discovered this all by myself, too.

Hanging out with Great Grandma

Logan and a bunch of us went to visit Great Grandma O in the nursing home near the end of June. After, we ate at the fantastic local diner, where Logan ate fried pork rinds (not).

The group of us: Jason, Nancy, Kasey, Daddy, Pop-pop, Aunt Kate, Logan (me!), Mommy, Aunt Pattie, Great Grandma O.

Pop-pop and Logan :)

Soooo....back in June.....

...Logan and Rach went to Virginia to visit family and friends. Here are a few pics and videos from back then...

Smiling with cousin Dani (boy, I hope I spelled that right...)

My first slumber party...I hope they're always this fun.

Some little girl told me this train went to the North Pole... is that true?

Here I'm playing with my friend Halle.

My aunt Kate is a blast!

On Mama's graduation

I look waaaay cuter than daddy in my bow tie.

Yeah, now Mama can get a job!

Logan loves BBQ pig. Don't look, Uncle Addie!

The Black Keys rock!

Logan climbs up and heads down the slide by himself like a big boy.

I am very sweet, Mommy.

Em, hello, this parade is really lame

Ball ball ball!

Logan's newest word is anthropomorphology... I mean "Ball." Ball, ball, ball. I kept thinking he was calling me bald, bald, bald, but that didn't make sense...

Going in circles

Logan's pictures take on a new form...

Drawing

Logan is ready for some drawing action nowadays! We bought some non-toxic crayons from Melissa & Doug, and set him up in the playroom. He does have a tendency to find, eh, alternative canvases like the couch and my jeans--but for the most part he sticks to the paper :) Oh, the fat lip is from when he fell at the park. No biggie.

My masterpiece!

Cool , eh?

Baby's first california roll

So daddy decided to rake the leaves from last fall today--it's finally spring! Afterwards we had sushi from our favorite sushi dig (er, the only sushi dig in town). Logan decided to eschew the broccoli and tuna fish for one of Rach's california rolls. I think we have a new favorite food!

Mmm, seaweed...

Next time get me the special with miso soup, eh?

Did you put wasabi in this?

The next great fingerpainter

Logan went to story-time at the library this morning and decided to indulge in some creative endeavors... the other pics down below are just recent shots for the fun of it.

Easter weekend

Well, we had some friends over for Easter weekend, and one of the highlights, aside from a few good games of Killer Bunnies, was Logan's crazymad hair. He also attempted to eat strawberries, but mostly he succeeded in smashing them on the table with his fist (not seen here).

Some pics for your cell phones

Here are the pics I promised. All of these are from our trip to Florida, save the last one at the bottom. Enjoy!

Logan found a new friend here called Mr. Watermelon.

Aunt Nancy, Rach, me, Logan, and Kasey at the Palm Beach Zoo.

Are you looking at me? I said, I you looking at me?

Sorry, Pop-pop, but my grandma is hot!

Logan with Aunt Phyllis. Daddy is in there somewhere...

Boy, Uncle Murry's 95-year-old nose is very pliant. I like him!

Hi, bunny!

Logan and the Kasonator!

This is my doggie, Luca. She lets me pull her hair out.
